Canada's Self-Employed Program

Canada’s Self-Employed program allows those with two years of experience in cultural activities, athletics, or farm management to qualify for immigration to Canada. Although no specific asset requirements exist in this category, applicants must have sufficient funds to support all immediate family members after becoming a permanent resident of Canada.

Qualified applicants must have the intent and ability to establish a business which will create employment, at a minimum, for the Self-Employed individual. Eligible Canadian businesses include management of a farm, or those which make a significant contribution to culture or athletics in Canada.

Quebec

Applicants destined to the province of Quebec are required to demonstrate a minimum of CAD$100,000 in net worth. Applicants who intend to reside in this province are not limited to cultural, athletic, or farming occupations.
